Re: M1 closed
From beeb mate if its any help said 2 SB lanes closed as well

About 30 vehicles have been involved in a fatal crash on the M40 in Oxfordshire, police have said.

The motorway has been closed northbound between junction 9 at Bicester and junction 10 at Cherwell Valley services. The crash happened at about 07:45 GMT.

Thames Valley Police has not said how many people have died.

South Central Ambulance Service says it is assessing about 30 patients at the scene.

Re: M1 closed
Very slow approaching junction 9 on the m40.

What are the chances of them delaying kick off? I'm guessing since its on the telly that's not going to happen?

Re: M1 closed
M40 closed between junction 9 and 10. My brother is sat in it at Oxford on his way to meet me in Bicester. Won't reopen between 9 and 10 until 2:30pm. They are saying 40 min delay to get to junction 9.

Crassus 11:52 Sat Feb 14
Re: M1 closed
If you can get off at 9 it is not difficult to skip around Bicester and rejoin at Banbury, plenty of back lanes, avoid any a roads

Stay safe all WHU x

Re: M1 closed
I strongly suggest that if you can get off at 9 dont head to Bicester, north

Go south to Weston on the Green, back lanes to Kirtlington, Enslow then turn right and north to Deddingtona4260 and then Banbury, running straight up - from Banbury it will be easy north

Cut inside and Bicester will grind to a halt

Re: M1 closed - Inc Updates.
All traffic northbound on M40 is coming off j9. I've just driven up to the roundabout to have a look from Bicester. M40 is def closed Northbound from J9.

Stuck 5 miles from j9 on m40, what's best to do once we are off?

colzy18 12:19 Sat Feb 14
Re: M1 closed
Huffed, back Road to J10

Crassus 12:21 Sat Feb 14
Re: M1 closed
I wouldn't

Back road to 11 mate

10 and access to/from is grim, there is also a southbound roadwork issue at that junction

skip west then run north through deddington to banbury - all clear
